Accessing and Copying Forms at the Rains Law Library

One of the library's most common requests from alumni is for assistance accessing and copying forms.

What you have access to

We are happy to provide alumni with access to forms available in print and through most library databases, including OnLaw (CEB materials) and the Legal Information Reference Center (Nolo materials).

Unfortunately, our agreements with Westlaw, Lexis, and Bloomberg do not allow us to provide alumni with access to these databases. However, we can sometimes provide you with access to identical or equivalent forms in print. Alternately, you can access Westlaw and Lexis at the LA Law Library or one of its partner branches.

Finding forms

If you would like help locating forms on a specific topic, just ask!  Our reference services remain available to you even after you graduate. You can contact a reference librarian at the reference desk located on the first floor behind the circulation desk (map), by email at, and by phone at 213.736.1177.

Copying forms

If you would like to copy a form, please speak to the staff at the circulation desk. They will provide you with a code so you can copy forms for free.
