Bar Exam and MPRE: Registering with the Bar

Registration Requirement

All students must successfully register with the bar before completing the MPRE, Moral Character Determination, or bar exam.

When to Register

Most students register in their 1L year.

Although students may register with the bar at the same time as they apply for an exam or determination, the exam or determination application will be terminated if the registration is not approved within 10 days. As a result, it's safest to register earlier.

Cost of Registering

As of March 2019, registering with the bar costs $119.
