Entertainment law broadly refers to the legal services performed for the entertainment industry--film, television, sports, and other media. Entertainment law is not one distinct body of law. Rather, entertainment law includes multiple fields of law within its sweep. Attorneys working in entertainment law may encounter issues arising in contract, employment, immigration, intellectual property, corporate, or Constitutional law, to name a few!
This guide is created for students enrolled in the Entertainment & Media Law Concentration at Loyola Law School, as well as other students and alumni interested in researching entertainment law.
