Bloomberg Law contains various tools for finding company information, including the Company Report Writer, Company Watchlist/Lookup, Company Screener, and People Search. These tools can be accessed from the Business tab or the Business Intelligence Center:
The Company Report Writer allows you to create a "quick" or "custom" report that may include: company overviews; issuer credit ratings; historical price, volume, and earnings data; recent litigation; company management; financial results; debt and equity offerings; holdings; company hierarchy; corporate actions; recent filings; and company news.
The Company Watchlist/Lookup is a current awareness tool that allows you to create a list of companies and easily lookup additional companies to add to your list. Click a company on your list to quickly access information and current news for that company.
The Company Screener allows you to search for companies that meet certain financial criteria. The are four categories of filtering options: Location & Industry, Financial & Trading Information, Company Name & Description, and Company Debt Profile.
From the Transactional tab, select EDGAR Search.
This allows you to search EDGAR using your selected filters, including forms, exhibits, and more.
You can also access the EDGAR Search tool, as well as additional SEC search tools, from the Securities Practice Center.
Keep up with your current awareness using the News & Analysis tab. Select Bloomberg Law News to find news organized by topic. Select News from Bloomberg Terminal to access the News Search menu.
Bloomberg Terminal News Search allows users to create news alerts with different search criteria. This is an excellent way to automatically receive news about particular companies or industries. Search filters include company, people, topics, regions, industries, and date. To create a new alert, select your criteria and click the "Create Alert" button in the bottom left corner of the search form.
