Our library works closely with West Academic Publishing as well as Aspen Publishing to set up early, complimentary, temporary access to all West Academic + Foundation Press® as well as Aspen casebooks required for courses.
The West Academic Early eBook Access program provides free, temporary eBook access to all West Academic and Foundation Press® books adopted at our school, beginning one week before classes start, through the first two weeks of classes.
The Aspen Access program also provides 3-week temporary access. The timing of the 3 weeks is dependent on when the student completes the registration steps.
These programs enable students to begin preparing for classes right away, even if they do not yet have access to print books. Publishers recognize that this approach provides a valuable buffer for students who may be awaiting financial aid disbursement, experiencing shipping delays, unable to visit the campus bookstore before classes begin, or facing other logistical challenges.
To support the development of their portal pages, the library provides West Academic and Aspen Publishing with a list of all coursebooks adopted for upcoming courses. If a specific coursebook is not available on the portal, it may be due to the library not receiving advance notice of its adoption. For any missing coursebooks, please contact Suzie Shatarevyan, Head of Access & Collection Management Services, at Suzie.Shatarevyan@lls.edu.
To begin, select the tab for each publisher to access detailed registration instructions and take advantage of the trial offer. Additionally, each publisher offers discounts for those who choose to make a purchase.
