Document Delivery Services
For a fee, document delivery services will retrieve documents on your behalf, visiting courts, depository libraries, and archives for you. Bloomberg, Lexis, and Westlaw all have document delivery services that many law firms use. Many smaller companies also offer document delivery services. Before hiring a service, please contact a reference librarian to confirm that there isn't a cheaper, easier way to get the document you want.

- Court ExpressWestlaw's document delivery service for dockets and court documents. The library does not subscribe to this service, but your law firm might.
- CourtLinkLexis' document delivery service for dockets and court documents. The library does not subscribe to this service, but your law firm might.
- CalInfoAn independent Los Angeles document delivery service, which can be hired without a subscription to purchase individual dockets and court documents.
- National Archives' Independent Researchers Available for HireList of document retrieval services by specialty and location, maintained by the National Archives.
