Many make these materials available for free online through their own websites or through specialized services like Municode and American Legal Publishing.
Local voters can propose initiatives that are included on local ballots for voting. The California Secretary of State collects information on local initiatives throughout California and individual county election websites provide information on their local initiative processes.
